| Q. |
What's preventing my child from unplugging the TV from the EyeTimer Switch? |
| A. |
EyeTimer comes with special tamper-evident tape, that, when removed, creates a visible mark. Parents tape the TV plug into the EyeTimer Switch (see diagram, right). For added security, we recommend that parents sign his/her name on the EyeTimer tamper-proof tape. Such a system is nearly 100% tamper proof for even the most mischievous children.

| Q. |
My kids need to write papers for school, and they need word processing software for that. Will EyeTimer prevent them from using it? |
| A. |
When your kids need to use the computer for schoolwork, they click EyeTimer's exclusive Study ModeTM icon. While they're in Study Mode, they can use the computer without having time decucted from their TimeBudget. However, everything they do on the computer is recorded in EyeTimer's Study Mode Log. So if they've been playing games during study time, it's immediately evident to parents. |
| Q. |
How is EyeTimer different from other entertainment time limiting products? |
| A. |
Eyetimer has many advantages over competing products. But the main difference is this: Other systems require you to set time limits per device. So, for example, you may set a time limit of 1 hour per day on this TV, and one hour per day on another TV. Only EyeTimer allows you to set one TimeBudget for ALL of the entertainment devices in your household. |
| Q. |
Will EyeTimer work with my computer? |
| A. |
If it uses Microsoft® Windows® and was manufactured within the last few years, yes. You'll need a PC with Windows 98SE or better, and an available USB port. That means EyeTimer can be installed on virtually any modern PC. |
| Q. |
I have 2 TVs and 2 Playstations in my house. How many EyeTimer Switches will I need? |
| A. |
Only 2. Because your Playstations require televisions to use, you don't need to plug them into EyeTimer switches. You only need to plug your TVs into EyeTimer Switches. |
| Q. |
To use EyeTimer, I have to leave my computer on all the time. Is that OK? |
| A. |
Yes, it's perfectly safe. To conserve power, simply shut down your monitor when you're not in front of it. |
| Q. |
Will EyeTimer regulate a GameBoy®? |
| A. |
Well, sort of. GameBoy runs on rechargeable batteries. These batteries require a special cable to charge. If you hook the GameBoy cable to an EyeTimer Switch, you can ensure that your child only gets a certain number of battery charges per week. |
| Q. |
Is there a Mac version? |
| A. |
Not yet. Because PCs are the market leader, it is not yet feasible for us to develop a Mac version. But we're working on it, and planning a Mac version for the future. |
| Q. |
